Lesson Plans
Lesson plans provide a complete and comprehensive classroom experience based on the Ohio Social Studies Academic Content Standards. Participating teachers have developed each lesson through Back to History programs. These lessons were developed in collaboration between primary and secondary teachers, OSU faculty and OHS public historians, which will develop a sustainable model of professional development for CCESC to use after the grant period ends. In addition, lessons integrate a variety of primary sources that can be used in classrooms with various degrees of available technology.

Primary Source Activities
These activities are short exercises developed by Back to History teachers that can be easily integrated into existing lessons and provide teachers with the opportunity to illustrate history through the use of primary material. The activities promote historical inquiry and analysis, they are flexible so as to be helpful to a range of age and developmental groups, and can be used immediately by downloading or printing the material provided.
